Immune support for demanding weeks.
Your calendar's full but your tank's empty.
You operate at a high level: busy weeks, frequent travel, a young family. A full life asks a lot of your body. Lately, you've been getting signs that you need to keep on top of your health.
Energy that fades early
Energy that dips right when you need it, no matter how dialled-in your sleep and nutrition are.
Getting sick at the worst times
A run-down immune system at the wrong time costs you training, deadlines and weekends.
Slower to recover
A late night or a red-eye flight used to be no problem. Now it takes days to feel like yourself again.
You might not have heard of fucoidan.
It's been our family's quiet secret to vitality for generations. Fucoidan is a powerful bioactive compound naturally occurring in certain brown seaweeds. In nature, fucoidan exists to shield the plant from pathogens and environmental stress in the ocean. Research suggests those same protective properties may extend to human health.
Today it is one of the most studied marine compounds in the world: backed by over 4,000 scientific studies exploring its role in immunity, gut health and overall wellbeing. SeaQuo exists to bring this remarkable ingredient out of the science journals and into your daily routine.
The evidence speaks for itself.
01·Immune resilience
A relentless week at work. Poor sleep. Ongoing stress. Your immune system feels it first.
Fucoidan interacts with immune cells to support balance and help the body respond to everyday immune challenges.
A pilot study in athletes found that fucoidan helped restore mucosal immune function and antimicrobial peptide levels after intense training. This suggests fucoidan may help keep the immune system resilient during times of stress or fatigue, especially important when your body is worn down from training, illness, or everyday life.
Fucoidan interacts with gut-associated immune cells, enhancing immune balance and helping the body respond to gut-related immune challenges.
02·Anti-inflammatory
Many modern health concerns (such as persistent fatigue, brain fog, and skin and digestive issues) trace back to low-grade inflammation. Fucoidan helps downregulate the body’s pro-inflammatory pathways, helping to soothe gut irritation and calm inflammation throughout the body.
In a 12-week randomised controlled trial, participants taking fucoidan showed lower levels of three key markers of systemic inflammation.
03·Microbiome balance
A balanced gut microbiome shapes how you digest, absorb and feel each day. Fucoidan works in a prebiotic-like way: early research, including animal studies, suggests it may nourish beneficial bacteria and tip the balance towards a healthier microbiome.
Emerging research suggests fucoidan may selectively support beneficial gut bacteria, contributing to a balanced microbiome and improved gut function.
Research suggests fucoidan may enhance gut microbiota composition and support healthy digestive function.
In mice, fucoidan from Undaria pinnatifida seaweed increased beneficial bacteria, including Bacteroides/Prevotella, Akkermansia muciniphila and Lactobacillus, and notably reduced the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio, indicating improved gut microbiome health.
04·Antioxidant defence
Each day, your cells meet free radicals as part of life in motion. Sunlight, pollution and environmental stressors can add to this load, placing more demand on your antioxidant defences.
Fucoidan shows promising antioxidant activity, helping to neutralise the free radicals that wear the body down.
Reviews of recent studies document fucoidan’s antioxidant activity and the factors that mediate its therapeutic effects.
Fucoidan from Undaria pinnatifida seaweed demonstrated antioxidant efficacy in vitro and in vivo.
05·Skin protection
Dull, congested or reactive skin can reflect what is happening beneath the surface.
By supporting the gut environment and calmer inflammatory responses, fucoidan works with the skin from within. In laboratory (cell) studies, it has also been shown to support the skin’s collagen maintenance and help defend against UV-related breakdown.
In human skin-cell studies, fucoidan increased type I procollagen synthesis and inhibited UVB-induced MMP-1, the enzyme that breaks down collagen.
A review of seaweed bioactives highlights fucoidan’s anti-photoageing and potential skin health benefits.

Hi, we're Sara & Olivia, the mother-daughter duo behind SeaQuo.
The SeaQuo story began decades ago in Tasmania, with a family discovery of fucoidan's extraordinary potential. This remarkable seaweed compound, found right on our doorstep, ignited a passion for sharing its benefits with the world.
High-quality fucoidan requires pure waters, careful harvesting and specialised extraction methods, making it far less accessible than many other wellness ingredients.
SeaQuo was born with a simple mission: to make the benefits of fucoidan accessible to more people. Using organic seaweed, wild-sourced from pristine waters and naturally rich in fucoidan, SeaQuo brings this powerful marine ingredient into an easy daily ritual.
Good questions.
How do I take it?
Adults take two capsules daily, or as advised by your healthcare practitioner. Capsules can be taken with or without food at any time of day. If you have a sensitive stomach, taking them with food can feel more comfortable. Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
How long until I notice a difference?
Everyone is different; however, improvements are usually felt after 4–6 weeks of daily use, with benefits continuing to build over time. SeaQuo Immune is designed to be taken consistently to support long-term wellness.
How much iodine is in SeaQuo® Immune?
SeaQuo Immune contains approximately 36mcg of iodine per capsule. Because our seaweed supplement is a natural product, iodine content can vary, with a maximum potential of 50mcg per capsule.
Can I take SeaQuo® Immune if I have a thryoid condition?
If you have an autoimmune thyroid condition such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis or Graves' disease, you may have been advised to be cautious with seaweed supplements due to iodine content. In some cases, too much iodine can exacerbate thyroid issues. SeaQuo Immune contains a tested, naturally occurring level of iodine (approximately 36mcg per capsule). As iodine needs are individual, we recommend speaking with your healthcare practitioner, who can advise whether a seaweed supplement is right for you.
Does the seaweed in SeaQuo® Immune contain heavy metals?
Every harvest is rigorously tested.
We have 2 categories for testing heavy metals in our seaweed.
1. Total heavy metals: the specification we work to is less than 10 parts per million
2. Inorganic arsenic: the specification we work to is less than 2 parts per million
Testing consistently returns results below these specifications.
Can I take SeaQuo® Immune if I have shellfish or seafood allergies?
By nature, the seaweed powder in our capsules may have been exposed to crustaceans, fish products and other foreign bodies in the ocean. Although all efforts are made to remove these contaminants, there may still be trace amounts of crustaceans, fish, or marine foreign bodies present. If you have a sensitivity to shellfish or seafood, we would not recommend taking SeaQuo® Immune capsules. Always speak to your health practitioner before commencing supplementation if you have any concerns.
Is the seaweed harvested near antibiotic-treated salmon farms?
No. Our Undaria pinnatifida seaweed is harvested from the east coast of Tasmania, away from salmon farms and other industry. Harvesting takes place off the coast of locations such as St Helens, Bicheno and Maria Island.
We do not harvest from the D'Entrecasteaux Channel or other south-east waterways where antibiotic treatment of farmed salmon has occurred.
Further, every harvest is tested for purity and quality before being used in our products.
